Music Sales FAQ

Q: Why do you (mostly) self-publish?

A: The interaction between performer and composer is vitally important to fostering meaningful collaborations. I want to know a little about you and your artistry! Also, I’d love to attend the performance(s)/rehearsals if possible. Self-publishing facilitates this exchange nicely.

Q: Why are some pieces only available as a PDF?

A: It has become increasingly common that performers request digitized versions of music for use with tablets. Or, they’d rather just print their own copy from a file. However, if there’s a piece that you’d really like a hard copy of, send me a message through the contact page.

Q: How long will it take to get my PDF?

A: “Delivery” to your email inbox varies. Some requests can be fulfilled within the hour, others take a few days. I add a watermark for each individual sale prior to sending. If you need something quickly, send me a message through the contact page and I’ll do what I can to get you the file as soon as possible.

Q: How long will it take to get my rental/hard copy?

A: Hard copy score sales are print-on-demand. Allow time for printing, binding, packaging, drop off, and shipping. Generally, allow 1 – 2 weeks. The same timeframe applies to rentals. If you need something quickly, send me a message through the contact page and I’ll do what I can to get you the materials as soon as possible.
